started dieting on May 15, 2020. Welcome to day 81 of my weight loss journey. I started the Beck Diet by Dr. Judith S. Beck on day 45. I lost 9 pounds, but also gained it back. The Beck Diet book days ended 5 days ago.

Worked from last night until about 5 am. Went to sleep without eating a snack. Woke up around 9 am because I had a phone interview with a disability services program. It wasn’t what I thought it would be. That’s O.K., though. When I originally scheduled the appointment in 2019, I was not working and not going to school. I thought they could help me to do that. Fast forward to a year later, I have a job and will start Full – Stack Web Development classes in two weeks. So, maybe it turns out that I don’t need their help right now. Praise God for progress.

Current Weigh In: As of Saturday, August 1, I weighed in at 250 pounds – exactly the weight I was after finding out I was misreading my scale. I have lost 5 pounds and gained 5 pounds since beginning the Beck diet. My next weigh in is Saturday, August 8.

AM Notes

WEDNESDAY FOOD & DRINKS

Wednesday, 10:30 am Brunch (500 + 1 Missed Snack = 600 calories allotted)

  • 1/L of Water – 0 calories
  • 2 Pcs. of French Toast With Syrup – 480 calories
  • Total 10:30 am Brunch Calories = 480 (120 calories under allotment)

Wednesday, 2:30 pm Lunch (500 + 2 Missed Snacks + 10:30 am leftover = 820 calories allotted)

  • 8 oz of 2% Milk – 120 calories
  • 1 Bowl of Fresh Fruit – 204 calories
  • 3 Oatmeal Raisin Cookies – 600 calories
  • Total 2:30 pm Lunch Calories = 924 (104 calories over allotment)

Wednesday, 5:30 pm Snack (100 + 2:30 pm Lunch leftover = 204 calories allotted)

  • 1/2 of a Small Blueberry Bread Loaf – 300 calories
  • Total 4:30 pm Lunch Calories = 204 (96 calories over allotment)

Wednesday, 8:00 pm Snack (2,000 – calories consumed so far = 392 calories allotted)

  • 1 Fried Pork Steak – 166 calories
  • 1 Chef’s Salad With Dressing – 450 calories
  • Total 8:00 pm Dinner Calories = 616 (224 calories over allotment)

Wednesday, 10:00 pm Snack (0 calories allotted)

  • None – 0
  • Total 10:00 pm Snack Calories = 0 (0 calories under allotment)

Total Calories Consumed: 480 + 924 + 204 + 616 = 2,224 as of 5:32 pm.
